What this service is

deceit.world is an interactive research archive operated under the pseudonymous identity Deceit ("the operator"). It includes a website, a phone system (+1-256-667-8375), SMS messaging, and associated domains. The project documents patterns of institutional manipulation, surveillance, and pastoral coercion.

Everything you encounter – the Bureau of Final Harmony, its agents, its AI systems, its classification of callers – is constructed for documentation purposes. No real government, religious, or institutional affiliation exists.

What data is collected

When you interact with the phone system, the following data may be collected:

• Phone number – used to identify returning callers and power the narrative (your caller history drives story escalation)
• Call metadata – timestamps of when you called, how long the call lasted, and which menu options you selected (DTMF tones)
• SMS content – any text messages you send to the number

When you use the website, the following may be collected:

• Email address – only if you voluntarily register for an account
• IP address – used temporarily for rate limiting and abuse prevention
• Aggregate traffic statistics – produced on our own server from its web server logs by self-hosted GoAccess, with visitor IP addresses anonymized in the report (no individual tracking, no third-party analytics service)

How data is used

Data collected through the phone system is used exclusively to power the narrative experience. Your call history informs the story that unfolds when you interact with the Bureau. The phone system uses your call count and previous choices to determine which scenario you encounter next.

Your data is never sold, never shared with third parties for marketing or any other purpose, and never used for advertising.

Your rights

• You can request deletion of all your data at any time by emailing operator@deceit.world
• You can stop receiving SMS messages by replying STOP to any message
• You can stop automated email with the unsubscribe link included in every automated message
• You can stop participating at any time – simply hang up or stop calling
• You can request a copy of your data by emailing the operator

SMS messaging

• The project may send SMS messages as part of the narrative
• Standard carrier messaging rates may apply
• Reply STOP to opt out of all future messages
• Reply HELP for information about the project
• Message frequency varies based on the narrative

Age recommendation

This experience is intended for individuals 18 years of age or older. The project contains themes of surveillance, institutional abuse, religious manipulation, and AI governance. It is not intended for minors.

No real affiliation

The Bureau of Final Harmony, its agents, its pastoral oversight programs, and all associated entities are constructed for this project. This project has no affiliation with any real government agency, religious organization, law enforcement body, healthcare provider, or educational institution.

Limitation of liability

This service is provided "as is" as an interactive documentation project. The operator makes no warranties about the service and is not liable for any distress, confusion, or harm arising from participation.
